Item #0225
50 days. This kale has it all. Beautiful, ruffled
leaves are tasty and have amazing
color. Extremely cold tolerant,
Redbor’s red color intensifies and
flavor improves as temperatures
drop in the fall; plants can last even
through hard freezes. Add small
leaves to salads, and use larger
leaves as a stunning garnish. Plant
in fall with pansies, violas and
snapdragons for long lasting color.

When to sow outside: 4 to 6 weeks before average last frost, or 10 to 12 weeks before first fall frost. (Recommend because kale grows best during the fall and requires cold temperatures to turn from green to purple.)
When to start inside: RECOMMENDED. For fall planting, 10 to 12 weeks before average first fall frost, or for spring planting 10 to 12 weeks before average last frost.
