Perennial. The blue-violet, white, and rose bells of balloon flower are delicately accented with purple veining and creamy yellow stamens. A rugged flower with few pests. Extremely cold hardy. Blooms best for 2 to 3 months – blooms second year from seed. Bluish-green foliage turns golden yellow in autumn if not browned by early frost.
