Cool season annual. Widely grown in India, this 24" tall legume is one of the oldest cultivated spices! The ground seed is a common ingredient in curries. With its strong maple fragrance, fenugreek is often used to fl avor imitation maple syrup. Young leaves can be enjoyed raw or cooked. Easy to sprout.

When to sow outside: RECOMMENDED. 4 to 6 weeks before average last frost or as soon as the soil can be worked. In USDA zones 8 or warmer, sow in fall or winter for winter harvest.
When to start inside: Only when growing for sprouts.
Special germination instructions: Bean or pea inoculant is optional, but recommended if sowing in an area that has never had beans or peas grown.
