LARGE PACKET
60 Days. Beans are one of the ten most popular vegetables to grow, and Kentucky Blue pole beans have been the choice of home gardeners since winning the All-America Selections award in 1991. The tall, climbing vines make it easy to pick the abundant harvest of long, straight, dark green pods that appear from midsummer until frost. Kentucky Blue pods rarely develop strings even as the beans mature. Outstanding bean flavor makes every meal a treat. Green beans can be eaten in a variety of ways — raw, steamed, sautéed, roasted or baked. They can even be frozen for later use. Resistance to bean mosaic virus, and tolerance to rust disease gives these plants extended life in the garden.

This packet plants 4 - 5 large teepees or two to three 10 foot rows. See inside of packet for instructions on how to build a bean teepee.
When to sow outside: RECOMMENDED. 1 to 2 weeks after average last frost. If weather is still cool and wet, wait for warmer, drier weather — bean seeds will not germinate in cold, soggy soil. Successive sowings every 3 - 4 weeks will ensure continual harvests all summer to first fall frost.
When to start inside: Not recommended.
