The greens and reds look beautiful in salads and sandwiches. Harvest young for terrific baby greens. Successive sowings will produce sweet lettuce spring through late fall! That’s why we’ve filled this packet with a whopping 6 grams of seed, enough for a small, fresh greens farm! An All-America Selections winner.

When to sow outside: RECOMMENDED. 2 to 4 weeks before average last frost, and successive sowings thereafter every 3 weeks until 2 weeks before the first fall frost. USDA zone 8 or warmer: also in fall for winter harvest.

When to start inside: 6 weeks before average last frost and in summer when soil temperatures are too warm outside to germinate lettuce seed.

Special germination instructions: Lettuce seed requires moderate soil temperatures to germinate
(70°F is ideal), and grows best in mild weather.
