Spinach Bloomsdale Organic Heirloom Seed

Spinach Bloomsdale Organic Heirloom Seed

Spinacia oleracea

Item #7603

LARGE PACKET

28-45 days. Be strong to the finish and eat your spinach! In the 1930s, the spinach industry gave credit to the cartoon character Popeye for a 33% increase in national spinach consumption. Today, we don’t need a beefy sailor to sell us on its benefits. If you haven’t grown spinach before, the freshness and quality of homegrown will win you over. Bloomsdale is an old, dependable, open pollinated variety that is equally delicious full grown, or as a baby leaf. It’s very nutritious – lots of vitamins A and C, and iron. Spinach plants are very cold tolerant. If you have limited space, or want to grow spinach in the off-season, you can grow it in a container!
