Annual. Blooms late spring to frost. 4" tall, 6 - 12" wide. Sun to light shade. Tiny Tim IS A MUCH SUPERIOR VARIETY than Carpet of Snow - it is dense, compact never needs to be sheared, and doesn't get "leggy". White flowers make this low ground cover a delight. Great in pots, baskets. Can withstand drought/heat and works as a border or rock garden plant. Alyssum graces pots and planters by hanging over their edges. And to top it off, it is very easy to grow! Nothing adds more to summer days than the gentle fragrance of sweet Alyssum! Blooms very quickly after seeding - around 6 weeks! When to plant outside: Spring, near the average last day of frost. In mild climates (USDA zones 9-10) which include the west coast, southern Texas, and the lower southeast, Alyssum can bloom all year, so a fall planting is also desirable if you want winter blooms.

When to start inside: 4-6 weeks before average last frost.

Special Germination Instructions: Alyssum seeds require light to germinate; press seeds into the soil lightly! Seedlings will emerge in 5 - 15 days. Many gardeners "dibble" transplants outside in clumps rather than individual plants.
