Annual. Blooms spring to early summer. These dazzling white flowers make an airy graceful accent to roses or other brightly colored flowers in the garden. They are 6" - 18" tall, depending on growing conditions and do best in full sun. Considered an invaluable addition to cut flower arrangements, Baby's Breath is an easy to in the home garden. It blooms quickly and plants continue to bloom for 4-6 weeks. For a continuous supply of flowers, plant seed every 2 - 4 weeks. (Planting can continue into fall in warm weather areas.) A drought tolerant plant, it prefers alkaline soil. Add lime in acid soil areas (Eastern U.S.). Soil should dry out between waterings. "Gyposphilia" comes from two Greek words that mean "gypsum" and "loving" referring to it's preference for alkaline soils which gypsum produces.
When to plant outside: RECOMMENDED. Spring, after average last frost. Sow every 2-4 weeks after initial planting to ensure a continual flower supply.
When to start inside: 6 weeks before average last spring frost.
Special Germination Instructions: None.
