The texture should be fine to <strong>provide limited resistance<\/strong> to new root growth. This is most vital in the first few days after planting, but also while green growth develops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check your seed trays daily to keep soil moisture consistent. To avoid disturbing fragile roots, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epicgardening.com\/bottom-watering-seed-starts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I recommend watering from the bottom<\/a> by placing your container on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.botanicalinterests.com\/products\/1020-universal-bottom-tray\">another tray<\/a>. Fill it with water and empty the excess once the soil is <strong>completely moist.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also possible to water seeds too much. Excess moisture reduces airflow and increases the risk of rot. Keep the soil damp but never soggy, managing drainage in both the container and your chosen soil mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To trap moisture and heat around your tray, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.botanicalinterests.com\/products\/growing-trays\">cover the seedlings with a germination dome<\/a>.
