Disappointed germination

1 out of 5 stars May 31, 2019
None of my seeds germinated, although they were started in my greenhouse as were all of my other seeds.
Jessie Ramos from CA
Owner Response: Hello, Thank you for making us aware of your experience. Our seeds are tested regularly by a third party laboratory to ensure the germination exceeds industry and our own standards-- which is why we happily guarantee them. My favorite pepper this season

A must have jalapeno. I had excellent germination. These were very prolific plants with large, dark green fruits. I can't wait to start more for next season!

Tried these last year and when the package said heavy producer they meant it. My plants grew to 3' and 9 out of 10 seeds germinated. Canned and fermented them and gave away 5 large grocery sacks. I'm buying them again.

Meh. Got only a handful of peppers from 4 plants, lousy return. They were not the hot I was looking for.
Keri from CO
Owner Response: Hi Keri, First off, thanks for sharing your experience. We've carried this cultivar for many years and it is a personal favorite that is very productive. You have mentioned several growing issues in your reviews today and I wanted to offer that we are always here to help you troubleshoot growing issues. Again, a soil test can be very enlightening and they are usually under $30. Let us know how we can help!

Loved these

We loved this Jalapeno! These things definitely pack a punch. They all germinated very well and all four of my plants produced a TON of peppers well into December! Look forward to planting again this spring

Less seeds than advertised

I bought a pack of the jalafuego seeds from my local nursery and the pack advertised 10 seeds and only 9 were inside. Not a big deal but still disappointed
Steve from IL
Owner Response: Hi Steve, We are sorry your seed packet was short a seed. A customer service agent will contact you by email.

I am so impressed with these peppers. I started them in a greenhouse. Every seed sprouted and the plants are beautiful! They are loaded with green and red peppers. . They are hotter than other jalapenos I've had. I will definitely grow these again!

A personal favorite

I started these inside in March and had peppers by June. Fast forward five months and our first night in the 20s finally froze them last night. These are as advertised - prolific, hotter than most jalapenos, and quite tasty.

A favorite in my garden

5 out of 5 stars Nov 29, 2022
I have grown this variety for two or three seasons. Germination rate is 95% and plants are some of the healthiest in my garden. It is a prolific producer of large, dark green peppers that pack some real heat. If I was guessing, I would say it's a cross between a jalapeno and a serrano. One of my favorites.
Joe from CO
Owner Response: Hi Joe, We're glad that you love this variety! It's one of our favorite Chile peppers, as well. Thanks for taking your time to share your experience.
