What a fun flower to grow! 2"–4" striped and speckled blooms in cheery colors are delightful in the garden, and tabletop arrangements. No two are alike! Easy to grow, heat-loving plants supply beauty and interest to your flowerbeds, containers, and borders until fall frost. Each individual flower lasts a very long time on the plant and in the vase. Zinnias are edible, but have little flavor. The colorful flowers can make a pretty garnish to salads, desserts, cold drinks, or serving trays. (The flower's central disk, while edible, can be bitter.)

Different This Year

2 out of 5 stars Jul 6, 2021
We were excited by and pleased with this variety last year. We have had a different experience this year. There are many more solid flowers (not "peppermint stick") this year. Also many blooms are partially solid and partially spotted. Please take a close look at how this year's seed was produced. We like the intended variety.

Planted outside as per directions, not one germinated!
Barbara from NJ
Owner Response: Hi Barbara, It seems you had issues with a few zinnia seeds this year. I wanted to suggest waiting until the soil is quite warm (a few weeks after your average last frost date) otherwise, zinnias will not germinate and can rot in cool soil. A customer service agent will be contacting you to help.

Unhappy

These did not sprout well and once sprouted did not grow well.
Mary from ME
Owner Response: Hi Mary, Because you left this same comment on several products, I wanted you to know that our goal is for you to have a great garden! We are here to help troubleshoot any issues you may have and we do guarantee our seeds. It sounds as though there are some opportunities to improve the growing conditions. Once sprouted, seedlings' ability to thrive is completely dependent upon growing conditions. Please don't hesitate to contact us for help. Rest assured our seeds are tested by a third-party laboratory to ensure germination rates meet federal and our own standards prior to packing. A customer service agent will be in contact by email soon.
