I sowed these in a large flat and potted them up as they grew. Germination was prolific and the the seedlings hardy (laughed at the damping off going on in other flats). It's been fun to see what colors show up (pale green & green with red interior more than other variations) and watch the babies grow into little mounds. It's been a couple months and they aren't big enough to go into the garden yet, but I anticipate being able to fill in quite an area in the bed soon.

I love coleus and this was my first time growing it from seed. I used pots and basic potting mix. It took a while for the seedlings to grow (cold May), though the plants shot up after true Summer started and I haven't had to pull them up yet (late October now). This will be a plant I grow from seeds every year now and I hope Botanical Interests will offer more varieties.
