Good quality

This was a bit of a splurge for a hand tool, but the quality is comparable to the price. With proper keeping, I expect I will get a lot of use from this tool. Handy for transplants, loosening weeds with long tap roots (but don't pry with this as it isn't designed for that purpose), planting leek starts deeply & dibbing holes for seeds. The narrow blade is really great for creating seed holes at tight spacing if you don't want to dig a trench for a planting row. Without this tool, I had trouble removing transplants from my seedling trays without breaking off the lower half of the root ball, with a little practice this tool will cradle a start right to the bottom of its root mass for less stress on those tender little plants. After using this tool, I wouldn't hesitate to spend a little extra to choose this brand over a cheaper tool as I've had so many inexpensive hand tools break after 1-2 seasons of use. While I've only had this tool this year, the construction looks robust and well crafted.
