Radish Watermelon Mantanghong Seeds

Radish Watermelon Mantanghong Seeds

Raphanus sativus (hybrid)

Item #0187

50-60 days. It is no wonder that Mantanghon is the most popular of the Chinese 'Beauty Heart' watermelon radishes. This fall-sown radish produces large, 3" round, mild radishes that can weigh up to 1 pound each! Slice the greenish white exterior to reveal a vivid, fuschia interior. Whether you enjoy radishes raw, cooked, or pickled, these beauties are sure to be a star. Winter radishes are best sown in the late summer or fall, as short days trigger root growth.

This packet sows two 6-foot rows.
