Annual. Early Multiflora blooms up to 2 weeks earlier than early-blooming types. Long vines produce mildly fragrant flowers on long, sturdy stems in the merriest shades of almost every color except yellow; wonderful for cut flower bouquets. Flowers average 1". Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant.

When to sow outside: RECOMMENDED. Cold Climates: 4 to 6 weeks before average last frost, or as soon as the soil can be worked. Mild Climates: Late fall to early winter for early spring bloom. Ideal soil temperature is 55°‒65°F.

When to start inside: 4 to 6 weeks before average last frost. Roots sensitive to disturbance; sow in biodegradable pots that can be planted directly into the ground.

Special germination instructions: To hasten germination, soak seed in water for 12 to 24 hours, or nick with a nail clipper or sandpaper before sowing. Darkness is required for germination; sow at recommended depth.
