Lactuca sativa, Brassica rapa, Eruca sativa

Item #3024

21-45 days. The owner of Q’s restaurant, Chef John Platt, cooks some of the best food in Boulder, Colorado. That is why we trusted him to choose this special medley. 25% each of Lolla Rossa and Oak Leaf lettuce; 10% each of Black Seeded Simpson and Summer Bibb lettuces, arugula, mizuna, and Tatsoi bok choy. A good conatiner mix.

This packet sows two or four 7-foot rows depending on spacing.

Days to Emerge:
5-10 days

Seed Depth:
surface to 1/8"

Seed Spacing:
1/4" - 1/2"

Row Spacing:

Not necessary
for baby greens

When to sow outside: RECOMMENDED. 2 to 4 weeks before average last frost, and successive sowings every 3 weeks until 2 weeks before the first fall frost. In USDA zone 8 or warmer, also sow in fall for winter harvest.

When to start inside: Any time for fresh mesclun year-round! Grow on a sunny windowsill or under grow lights.

Harvesting: Harvest individual leaves at 2" - 4" tall for a continual supply. If you wish to harvest as heads, cut off at 2" above ground level as soon as possible after head forms; new leaves will grow from the center. The earlier the harvest, the more tender the crop.
