Item #3146
100-200 days. Imagine slicing that first, big, beautiful bunch of celery from the earth in your garden. You can harvest individual stalks when just 6" tall, or wait for the bunch to mature. Celery grows best in climates with long, mild-temperature seasons, but can be grown in most places with proper technique (see inside packet).
This packet sows six 5-foot rows.

When to sow outside: Recommended for mild climates only. 1 to 2 weeks before average last frost.
When to start inside: RECOMMENDED. 10 to 12 weeks before average last frost for spring sowing, or 10 to 12 weeks before transplanting outdoors for fall crop. Start in pulp or paper pots to minimize root disturbance when transplanting directly into the ground. Plants may bolt if exposed to prolonged temperatures below 50°F or extended heat.
Harvesting: Harvest stalks when they are at least 6" tall. Cut with sharp knife at the base
