70 Days. Pink, Purple, and Sunrise Bumble Bee tomatoes make up this sweet and tangy blend. Each tomato is striped, no two are alike, and mixed together they are stunning. Juicy right off the vine or in a salad. Big plants (provide support) produce big yields throughout the season. Crack resistant. Each seed is color coded with organic food color: Pink = red seed, Purple = natural color, and Sunrise = yellow seed.

This packet yields approximately 12 plants

When to sow outside: For mild climates only. 1 to 2 weeks before average last frost, and when soil temperature is at least 60°F.

When to start inside: RECOMMENDED. 4 to 6 weeks before transplanting. Transplant when air temperature is 45°F or warmer, usually 1 to 2 weeks after the last average frost date. Ideal soil temperature for germination is 70°–90°F.

Harvesting: Artisan Bumble Bee Blend tomatoes are at the peak of sun-ripened deliciousness when they are deeply colored, and have a slight give when gently squeezed. Tomatoes may also be picked at the “first blush” stage, when colors just begin to change and ripened at room temperature without decreasing flavor or nutrition. Picking often and early increases yield, and decreases the risk of cracking and pest damage. At the end of the season, about 1 month before the average first fall frost, clip all blossoms and any undersized fruit off the plant. This will steer all the plant’s remaining energy into ripening what’s left. If you have a lot of unripe tomatoes near the end of the season and a frost is approaching, pick them and store them indoors in a single layer away from direct sunlight to ripen.
