Growing Info

Harvesting: When seedlings emerge, the first pair of leaves to show are the cotyledons, which can look very different from the leaves that follow, called "true" leaves. Baby greens are ready to harvest when they have true leaves, at 2"–4". Slow growers, or cool growing temperatures may require more time. Harvest by cutting just above the soil line. For more than one harvest (up to 3 before flavor declines) leave about 1/2" of leafy growth on the small plants so they can regenerate.

What did you do to make this thing so gritty!? I got a pack of this as a welcome gift and had no idea what to do with it so I decided to throw this into my hydroponic system... in less than 2-3wks, I had a full harvest... just let my wife harvest it when she wants... 3mon later I'm like... OK... so how's it... oh dang! the water line is down to less than half and the nutrition is legit less than 20% of what it should be (only 94ppm!?!!??)... and yet, that photo is what you see! I literally planted, walked away and literally forgot about it because the wife never complained... I mean the lifespan shouldn't be this long either... so let's see if I can send it off to glory... it's at 150ppm... I might bump it more later... this is insanity!

I received these for free after a purchase and love them :) I've cut them down a handful of times now and they keep popping back up.

I live in zone 7B & recently began planting & gardening at our new home. I cannot believe how quickly these greens sprouted after direct sowing into a planter on my deck (ditto with the radishes & peppers & beans that I purchased at the same time). I tried some big box hardware store bought seeds earlier in the season & nothing germinated! Nothing! I’ll be buying my seeds from Botanical Interest from now on.
