Herbes de Provence

Herbes de Provence refers to a mixture of dried herbs associated with the Provence region in France. Traditionally, the term referenced a collection of herbs that grow wild in the Provence region, including basil, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, summer savory, and thyme, but by the 1970s, spice wholesalers concocted their own mixes which tended to vary a bit, and began to sell commercially. Herbes de Provence is so easy to make with the herbs right out of your own garden!
