I usually buy the normal version and I've never had luck with it growing, I've tried this type as well and it never did anything, it's a beautiful plant one day I hope to have luck with it.

I put these in the worst part of the garden: poor soil and not the best sun. I figured I'd try because amaranth tend to be hardy, and they did not disappoint! They were not nearly as tall, which was expected due to where I placed them, but they have produced the most lovely, romantic tendrils of soft pink to red blooms. My daughter loves to stick these around the base of her bouquets to create a cascading look...I tell her it looks like little octopi arms coming out :) Very pleased, will certainly use for years to come!
