Love in the Mist seedlings that over wintered provided great bloom earlier this summer. They were stunning. The additional seeds that I planted did not thrive!?
Usually I have graeat luck throwing these seeds around and watching beauty thrive and grow before me and continue to grow throughout the summer. This year I did not have great luck with many of the seeds that I scattered and have had luck nuturing. Perhaps our crazy very rainy summer. All of my new Lavander plants (10) died fromo too much H2O!
My other perinneals have had a blooming good time this summer.
I discovered Love in the Mist in Annapolis Md and have enjoyed them in Cincinnati Oh for about 10 years And will look forward to continully planting more....

Very beautiful plants that you can't find at the garden center. I direct sowed some in early spring and winter sowed others in milk jugs. Both worked well. I will definitely grow these again.

Planted in traditional manner outdoors in desired site. Nada in terms of germination. Rather disappointed.

My first nigella in zone 9b!!! I will grow so many more next year! They are the cutest! I had to cold stratify them way back in the Nov/Dec/Jan time for April blooms but high germination!! They are so cute!!
