Standard Return Window and Condition

  • Seeds: Physical seed products may be returned within 1 year from the original date of purchase for store credit.
  • Hardgoods: Hardgoods may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
  • Late return requests: Return requests made between 31 and 90 days after delivery are subject to approval, may be eligible for store credit only, and a restocking fee may apply. No return requests will be accepted or considered after 90 days.
  • Condition: Items should be unopened, unused, and returned in their original packaging to qualify for a full refund.
  • Processing: Please allow 5-7 business days for returns to be processed after they are received at our warehouse.

Change of Mind or Customer Error Returns

If you accidentally ordered the wrong item, selected the wrong size, or changed your mind, we can refund the purchase price or offer store credit, minus any original shipping costs.

  • Standard return fees: Typically $5-$20 based on package weight and location.
  • Opened or used items: Refund adjustments may apply for opened packaging or used items.
  • Discontinued items: We do not accept returns or exchanges on discontinued items. All sales are final.

Checkout+ Returns

Checkout+ is optional shipping and return protection available at checkout.

  • With Checkout+: Covered carrier issues such as lost or damaged shipments, free return shipping on qualifying returns, and a simplified return process.
  • Without Checkout+: General return costs are typically $5-$20 based on package weight and are deducted from the final refund.
  • Manual returns: Tracking is highly recommended.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, missing pieces, or you received the wrong item, please contact our customer support team right away. We will fully cover the return costs or ship a replacement when the issue is confirmed.

Please include photos and any helpful details so we can review and resolve your request quickly.

International Shipping and Returns

We can only ship seeds and hardgoods within the United States. Third-party services, including freight forwarders, are used at the buyer's own risk.

We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for international shipments sent through third-party services after the order has been delivered to the U.S.-based third party. Our responsibility ends once the package is delivered to that U.S.-based service.

Seed Satisfaction Guarantee

Botanical Interests stands behind the quality of our seeds with a 1-year satisfaction guarantee. Seed lots are independently tested by a third-party lab before they are sold.

Plants are still affected by growing conditions such as moisture, temperature, planting depth, heat waves, soil chemistry, and pests. Our liability is limited to the seed product itself and will not exceed the purchase price. We cannot cover lost crops, but our team is happy to help troubleshoot.

Seed Returns

Seed returns are subject to review. Our Customer Service team may reach out during assessment to finalize your request and offer gardening support.

Please include the following details with your seed return request:

  • Lot number
  • Year packed
  • Reason for return

How to Start a Return

Click here to begin your return or exchange process.

  • Enter your order number without the "BI" before it.
  • Enter your shipping zip code or email.
  • If you are returning items that came in multiple boxes, initiate a separate return for each item.

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will confirm whether the return is approved. Verified refunds are issued to the original payment method or via store credit. Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days.

Returns After 30 Days

Some returns after 30 days may still be reviewed if the request is submitted within 90 days of delivery. Products must be unused and in their original packaging. Return requests submitted more than 90 days after delivery cannot be accepted. If approved, you will be responsible for the cost of the return shipping label, which will be deducted from your refund.

Returns Purchased During a Promotion

Special promotions may not fall within our standard return policy. If you want to return items purchased during a promotion period, please contact our support team with your order number and a brief description of the issue. Our team will review your request and follow up as soon as possible.
