QIS Fiery Sunrise Blend Gomphrena Seeds

Gomphrena haageana

Showy is an understatement when it comes to these bright globes of the summer garden. Not only do they sport bold colors, they add unique texture with their papery blooms. The more you cut, the more they bloom. This colorful blend becomes even more vibrant when pollinators discover it! Flowers last up to 2 weeks in the vase and are perfect for drying. Also known as globe amaranth, the tough plants don't flinch at hot, humid weather or even drought.

    Absolutely love these!

These Fiery Sunrise Blend Gomphrena are a new favorite of mine. Absolutely love the papery blooms and the color they bring to my garden. After starting these plants I waited a little too long to transplant and thought for sure I’d killed them. But I went ahead and planted them out and they started growing new leaves and thriving.

    Fiery Sunrise Gomphrena

This is third year I have planted the Botanical Interest Fiery Sunrise Gomphrena. The previous 2 years, I planted the seeds in a big 24” pot and they were absolutely stunning. I loved them so much, that I ordered 2 packets this year. In late April, planted one packet in my butterfly garden and another in a big pot. For some reason, none of the seeds came up in the ground and only 5 came up in the big pot. So far none of those have bloomed. I’m considering ordering one more packet to try again but will only plant in a big pot. The blooms are truly stunning with coral, orange, pinks & reds. My neighbors always ask me what type of flowers they are. My B I Lavender Lady gomphrena reseeded from last year and I transplanted some into other flower beds. Our honeybees love them.

Three years of planting these beauties is the ultimate compliment, and we love that you keep coming back for more! Those stunning coral, orange, pinks and reds really do make heads turn - your neighbors asking what type of flowers they are says it all! It's also awesome that your honeybees are loving them too, and how cool that your Lavender Lady gomphrena reseeded from last year! We're sorry to hear that this year's ground planting didn't cooperate the way your previous pot plantings did, but we're thrilled that you've found success with the big pot method and are planning to stick with what works for you. Lovely Flowers

I had a great time planting and watching these flowers grow. Got them for their heat and drought tolerance and they bloomed great. The seeds did really well the pots they were planted in and I had no problems with the germination period. Would buy these seeds again.

Sleeper hit flower. Bad germination for me

My germination rates on these were very low, but I direct sowed in May. Next year I will try presoaking. They were blooming as fast as my zinnias were, 7 weeks. Absolutely lovely in the garden and cutting garden, as most blooms you have to cut immediately but not these, they need to season on the vine to stiffen. An absolute joy to grow, I will be doing many more varieties of Gomphrena for future years. Incredible productivity as well, I only have 3 plants and the stems are nonstop.
