This is the coolest sweet pepper you've ever seen! Even the variegated foliage is attractive, but the peppers will continue to wow you as they ripen from green and white stripes to the chocolate red and cream stripes in their name. Grow them in a container on your patio or balcony to enjoy the view! Small, 1 ½" peppers are crisp and sweet; slice rings into your salads for a beautiful presentation, or slice long strips for stir frying.

    Prolific and delicious

The Botanical Interests Candy Cane Chocolate Cherry Sweet Pepper is easy to grow, maintain, and harvest. My 3 plants from 2025 put on multiple flushes of 12+ peppers at a time. I have them overwintering in my mud room and they are still looking good and putting on peppers even though they are supposed to be resting. Unstoppable. The sweet fruit is very versatile for snacks, cooking, and fermenting. Definitely a must have fruit in my GreenStalks, raised beds, and in ground gardens in East Tennessee, zone 7b.

    Excited to see these grow!

The packet came with 10 seeds and 7/10 have germinated within the 2 weeks they've been planted. Started my peppers early this year since peppers usually take a while to germinate/grow. I was very pleased by how soon I saw sprouts! Very excited to try this variety this year.

    Very Prolific

I planted 3 Candy Cane Chocolate pepper seeds, 1 in a GreenStalk, 1 in a Grow Tower II, and 1 in a raised bed in the upper garden. All 3 plants grew large and produced delicious peppers prolifically. Each of the plants produced 3 full flushes of more than a dozen peppers. All 3 plants are being overwintered in our mud room which is not "under air," meaning no a/c or heat. They are all alive and well. With this head start, I can't wait to see how many peppers these 3 plants produce in 2026.

    Amazing productivity.

I planted four of these beautiful plants in a large pot in a sunny area with my oregano (good companion plant). It is now the end of November. These plants are still thriving, and, still producing! (FYI, I’m in coastal California.)

It sounds like you've got the perfect setup with that sunny spot and oregano companion planting.
