The bold purples of this petite petunia with 1½"–2" variegated flowers will make your hanging baskets pop. No two blooms are exactly alike; color patterns continue to change as they react to seasonal temperature and light variances. The plant's habit is compact, mounded, and spreading–perfect for patio containers, window boxes, and hanging baskets. Grown as an annual; although perennial in USDA zones 10 and warmer. The extremely small seeds are pelleted with a clay-based product for ease of handling.

    Hey Gale,

Thank you for sharing your experience! Quality is very important to us, which is why we frequently send our seeds to a third-party laboratory to ensure germination rates exceed both federal and our own internal standards. We don’t sell seeds that don’t pass those tests — plain and simple.

That said, we also know germination can be a bit finicky, and 9 times out of 10 the issue ends up being environmental — things like inconsistent moisture, temperature swings, soil conditions, or even sowing depth can make a big difference. It’s very common, and honestly something most gardeners experience at some point.

We’d really love the chance to help you troubleshoot and get better results. Our team is always happy to offer tips based on what you’re growing and your conditions. Please feel free to reach out to Customer Support so we can help you get on track for a successful grow. 🌱

    Disappointed

I was so excited to plant these gorgeous looking petunias, but I only received 4 whole seeds and one crushed seed. Everything else I received from BI has been amazing.

    Shock Wave Shock

I have been gardening for 50+ years and I am so disappointed in this packet of seeds. Although it says that the pack contains 10 seeds, mine only contained 5 and of the 5 seeds I planted, only 1 has germinated so far.

At the price of $5.49, I feel that I wasted my money. I would have been better off buying plants at a nursery.

I bought a pack of Shock Wave Purple Tie Dye Petunia seeds, which stated that it contains 10 seeds. I like that, as Petunia seeds are tiny, there is a small sealed envelope with the seeds inside. However, there were only 5 seeds! 5 seeds for $5.49 is outrageous! But the most outrageous thing is that the pack says 10 when containing 5. I hope the 5 germinate.
