2nd year posting same gripe this is not a shaker but bulk tub with lid that is hard to put back on. So many colors of flowers but useless package and instructions. TOO dramatic.
Planting instructions way too unclear for decision on warm or cold climate. I planted some but the container and animation on site same as before so annoyiing not helpful - where is the ratio of seeds? I am spending time online looking this up so I can make the most of my investment.

Thank you so much for your feedback. Our seed shakers do not include a plastic shaker top - they are a 100% recyclable tube and do not contain plastics. As our website listing states, our seed shakers come without a plastic shaker top by design - this ensures smooth, hassle-free seed scattering with no clumping or blockages. We've found the shaker tops not only prevent these from being fully recyclable, but they also tend to prevent the larger seeds in our mixes from getting through.
If you are struggling to sprinkle seeds with our seed shaker, we encourage you to pour a small amount into your palm and broadcast it into the area where you are planting.
On our website, we offer planting guidance for this variety, but we'll be happy to share that with you here, too.
We recommend planting about 20 seeds per square foot of space at 1/8" to 1/4" deep. Thin as needed - if two plants are competing for space, select the stronger one to keep and remove the other.
We do not recommend starting this variety indoors. Our outdoor sowing guidance is as follows: Cold Climates: 2 to 4 weeks before your average last frost date. You can also sow half the seed 4 to 6 weeks before your average last frost date (hoping the last frost is earlier than usual) and sow the second half a week or two after your average last frost date (just to be safe). Mild Climates: Fall through early spring.
As these timings indicate your final frost date in the spring, we encourage you to use a frost date calculator to find your average last frost date in your specific area. Unfortunately, frost dates vary extremely widely across the United States.
Your average last day of frost is defined as the first day in spring on which there is less than a 50% chance a frost of 32°F or less will occur. If you need help identifying your first frost date in fall or last frost date in the spring, please email our customer service team with your zip code and we will look that information up online for you.
Our Hummingbird Haven flower mix contains the following by weight: 60% Nasturtium, 10% Lupine, 8% Hollyhock, 5% or less each Zinnia, Milkweed, Scarlet Sage, Annual Phlox, Rocket Larkspur, Spider Flower, Godetia, Bee Balm, Standing Cypress, Eastern Red Columbine, Penstemon, Foxglove, Flowering Tobacco, Coral Bells.
Each Hummingbird Haven seed shaker contains
