'Cardinal's' richly colored blooms and robust flavor make it a wonderful dual-purpose basil. With its strong aroma, a little goes a long way in the kitchen. But it's also a striking accent in a mixed container, adding a unique shape, color, and fragrance. Bring its beauty indoors as a fragrant cut flower.

Grew it in pots and it was GIANT BASIL. It is blooming now with beautiful dark red blooms. Has a wonderful basil smell.

I planted a couple of these, unfortunately the deer ate them early in the spring. They did grow back but they have yet to flower. I'll have to try them again next year and hope for better results.

This is maybe my new favorite basil. I love them all, but the strong basil flavor and the gorgeous blooms make this useful both in cooking and in flower arrangements. Love it!
