Botanical Name: Ocimum basilicum

Family: Laminaceae

Native: Probably Africa, but in cultivation for so long that it cannot be verified.

Hardiness: Frost-sensitive annual

Plant Dimensions: About 24" tall and 20" wide.

Variety Information: Denser flowerheads, more lush foliage, and stronger fragrance than other basils.

Exposure: Full sun to part shade

Great Basil Variety

Planted in both garden and pots and it did well in both . Very tasty and decorative.

Grew it in pots and it was GIANT BASIL. It is blooming now with beautiful dark red blooms. Has a wonderful basil smell.
