Most fun cosmos!

Year after year, these come back from seed (I always add more too!) - the finches love the seeds - the plants grow 5' tall and are covered with bright yellow and orange flowers - the foliage alone is wonderful in flower arrangements. I deadhead some and toss them to the ground but the birds love the seeds. I won my first blue State Fair ribbon with one of these delightful flowers!

Beautiful blooms on tall plants, even in only 4 hours of sun

This is the 2nd year I've grown these. The bees love the orange and yellow blooms. The new area I sowed these only gets about 4 hours of sun, and they look just as good as the more sunny areas. Dark green lush foliage that does a good job of blocking out sunlight for any weeds. Diablo Cosmos and California Giants Zinnias are my two favs from this vendor. EVERYTHING germinates.

Beautiful and sturdy

5 out of 5 stars Jun 11, 2021
I sew Diablo Cosmos seeds in the small containers in early Mar. They started blooming in mid May, at the height of 30". I don't think they will grow higher up to 4-5feet in the small containers and this is what I really enjoy. Grow them in the full sun and move the containers to the shade so the shady area can be bright with these lovely tiny flowers. They are sturdy, no need stakes, their leaves are flat parsley-like. Their petals are concave like clam shells and long lasting. Thanks to Botanical Interest for this great pack. It makes summer in this hot zone 10 cheerful.

Gorgeous, huge pollinator magnets

I'm a novice gardener with a challenging conditions, but these performed spectacularly in spite of full baking sun, consistent temps in excess of 90 degrees F, high humidity, clay soil, and erratic irrigation. They reached about 4' tall and 3' wide, even without pinching. Each plant was dense and covered in blooms from July through our first hard frost in November. When I finally cut them down, I had to use loppers because the stems were an inch thick at the base. The bees and butterflies were crazy about them. I had to tie them back because they got so big they were blocking our walkway! But absolutely stunning and very easy to grow. Will definitely grow them again next year!!!

One of the best Cosmos

5 out of 5 stars Jan 15, 2022
Started a few indoors in mid-March. Those that were started indoors bloomed nicely and self-seeded so I soon had a second batch come up that grew stronger and more sturdy than the early transplants. So, this year I will again start a few on March 20 and when I plant them outdoors, I'll sow seeds at the same time for sturdier plants to follow the less sturdy ones that were started indoors to give early color.

Amazing Plants With Beautiful Flowers

5 out of 5 stars Jan 16, 2022
In 2021 I wanted to grow more to draw in more pollinators, especially more bees, and these plants excelled in doing that. I direct sowed them in a raised bed in late March and got waves and waves of orange and yellow flowers even now in January 2022, they grow quite large so make sure to provide enough space for them, and they self seed so easily that I had cosmos growing everywhere. I will definitely grow this variety again later this year.
