Harvesting: Pick, and pick some more! Overly mature cucumbers on the vine will slow production of new cucumbers. Cut the stem rather than pulling at the fruit, as stems are fragile. To increase the quality and storage time, once picked, immediately immerse in cold water to disperse "field heat".

Grow fine but get super large to quickly

they grow fairly fine. they are compact. but that can be troublesome because it makes it harder to prune. For harvests, you have to watch these really closely. From just one week to another, the cucumber can become obscenely large: which just makes the taste watered down, slightly mushy and hard skin. And like other cucumbers, they are susceptible to the same fungal disease that took down other cucumber plants.

    Hey Pascal,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about the Spacemaster 80 Cucumber Seeds. We really appreciate you letting us know about the rapid growth and the challenges with harvesting timing, as well as the compact growth making pruning more difficult. Your point about watching them closely for optimal harvest is valuable information that other gardeners can benefit from. We understand how frustrating it can be when cucumbers grow too quickly and affect the taste and texture. This feedback will be shared with our team. Your experience is invaluable to us, and we are committed to ensuring your growing journey is positive. Thank you once again for your input. Keep on growing 🌻️

    A Good All Around Cucumber

First year to garden and planted these and they just took off. Any where from 6 to 9 inches. They tasted good whether sliced to add to salads, sandwiches or roasting with a little Parmesan cheese and herbs on top or picking (kosher dill or hot dill with Serrano peppers and/or red chili peppers). Another product that will be a staple for next year. Web site would not load a picture)

Perfect plants for my patio container garden! Produced delicious cucumbers all summer. I planted 2 and 1 did better than the other, but I suspect that was a soil quality issue rather than anything to do with the seeds.
