Coverage & Planting Details

Coverage This packet sows up to 11 mounds.
Row Spacing 3'–4'
Seed Depth ½"–1"
Seed Spacing 2–3 seeds per mound
Thinning When 3 leaves, thin to 1 plant per mound
Germination 5–10 days
Start Indoors Not recommended except in very short growing seasons, 2 to 4 weeks before transplanting. Roots are sensitive to disturbance; sow in biodegradable pots that can be planted directly into the ground. Transplant when soil temperature is at least 60°F.
Direct Sow RECOMMENDED. 1 to 2 weeks after your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is 70°–85°F.
Growing & Harvesting Harvest frequently to increase yield; squash seem to get monstrous overnight. While edible at almost any size, seeds are less developed in young fruit, therefore more tender. Using a knife or clippers, cut squash off including some of the stem. By including stem, the fruit is sealed and less likely to mold or dry out. Harvesting Blossoms: Look for male, non-fruit producing flowers that have long stems and harvest just before use (female flowers have a swollen mini-squash at the base of the flower and are on shorter stems).

    Great texture!

I was given 2 seeds at an event and both seeds germinated!! This is a variety with a bit of a thicker skin that hold up in cooking and don't get mushy. Will plant again next year!

    Prolific vine!

I planted one plant in May and it germinated quickly and easily. It's August and its still going strong, showing no signs of slowing down. I pick a beautiful fruit nearly daily. It's vine is long with a couple if off shoot vines that produce nicely. The taste is delicious and buttery. Highly recommend!

Incredible germination rate and amazing vigor! Highly recommended.

I bought these seeds to grow round zucchini, and I am beyond satisfied! The seeds sprouted quickly, and the growth rate is visibly fast. The plant is so healthy and vigorous that it's bursting with twin male flower buds at almost every node. It seems to be a very hardy variety that even beginner gardeners can grow without failure. I'm so excited to harvest my round zucchinis soon. Thank you for the high-quality seeds—I will definitely repurchase!

    Round Zucchini

Fast growing more contained and a delight to grill in slices on the BBQ.

I garden to table and I grow with purpose, these were an intentional choice to seek out the seeds and when I saw them I had to get them. I enjoy grilling my food and these are so flavorful and a great option to add with eggplant slices alternating in a dish. The grow beautifully and more contained than the regular zucchini you see. Give them a try you wont regret it I promise .
