    evening magic

I've been growing these for a few years now and find them to be incredibly carefree. They reseed themselves easily so I don't worry about starting them, unless I want them in a new location. The flowers are beautiful and unusual, and the magic happens on warm summer evenings when the scent is hypnotic. They even tolerate a little frost, but die back over our upstate winters. I just love them.

    Surprisingly tough and beautiful

These plants did exceptionally well when started in a 6-cell and transplanted out into the southeastern heat in Early summer. The inflorescence is a bit of a firework show and bloomed prolifically in part shade. Also produces copious amounts of seed so you can store and resow for years to come.

    Wow the neighbors!

This plant was so fun to grow. The flowers are stunning and the neighbors were all impressed and curious as to what it was. I live just a bit south of Denver. Unfortunately, it did not make it through the winter, but we had very little (if any) rain or snow this year. So, maybe that's why? Undeterred, I am trying again this year! I may grow them in pots (no Colorado pun intended) and bring them inside in the fall.

    Hey Kat,

We absolutely love hearing that your Indian Peace Pipe Nicotiana Seeds created such stunning flowers that impressed all the neighbors! There's nothing quite like growing something so unique that it becomes a conversation starter. We're sorry to hear they didn't make it through your tough Denver winter with the lack of moisture this year - that definitely could have been a factor. We love your determination to try again and think your idea of growing them in pots and bringing them inside is brilliant! Thanks for sharing your impressive nicotiana success with us! Keep on growing 🌻️
