I planted the Orange Sun Bell Pepper seeds at the same time as my Sweet Cal bell seeds. The first one that came up seemed to have some kind of genetic issue perhaps, as one side of the plant had leaves that were stunted or incorrectly shaped. The second plant fared better. I treated all my peppers the same, but for whatever reason, these just never grew as large or as healthy as the others, including the jalapeno. I don't know if they needed more food or something, but they just never got nearly as large as all the other peppers, and just slowly turned yellow to the point that I gave up and cut them down. I only ever got one small, mal-shaped pepper. Unless orange peppers in general just need more food/care, because a completely different (non-Botanical Interests) orange pepper I'd bought later in the season (not as seed, as a grown plant) seems to have a similar issue. Don't know. I'll just try again next year and maybe have better luck.
