Pixie Delight Lupine Seeds

Lupinus mexicanus

Pixie Delight fits into gardens where many other lupines are just too large. This variety is only 12"-18" tall with loose, 8" spikes of flowers in attractive shades of pink, blue, purple, and white. Some flowers may be bicolored for added variety. Grow in groups for a splash of summer color. Tolerates poor, dry soil, and is ideal for use in containers, rock gardens, and small garden beds.

better luck with these Lupines over others

I struggle to grow Lupines. I either get low germination, or the seedlings die off quickly. This variety had a good germination rate, and have done pretty well after transplanting. I'm excited to finally grow a Lupine from seed successfully.

    Lovely

I only planted 2 seeds because I've never grew them before. They grew so fast they had sprouted, grew leaves and bloomed all within a month. It grew faster than my thyme.

    70 seeds? Try 30. :(

I bought these and just winter sowed them. I see it says 70 seeds, I literally counted them and got 30! Crazy. Hopefully they germinate for me but what a disappointment.

I grew the pixie delight lupine in zone 9b Central California by winter sowing in December. They all came up beautifully within a month. They seedlings had the most amazing scent and they all potted up amazingly without any transplant shock. Absolutely excited for my mini blooms this spring!!!
