Beaujolais Sweet Pea Seeds

Lathyrus odoratus

The deep, rich color of 'Beaujolais' is sensational paired with pastel sweet peas. Spencer-type sweet peas have large flowers and sturdy, long stems which makes them ideal for bouquets and table-top arrangements. They also bloom over a longer period, sometimes into fall, where summers are mild. Caution: Parts of this plant are toxic if ingested.

    Height missing from description

I purchased these and am looking forward to planning my garden. Came to the site to find out the height because it's not listed on the package. If it's not too much trouble, please add that bit of information for people unfamiliar with the plant. Another option is to add it to the website description. Thanks for your consideration.

    no discernible scent

I planted Beaujolais sweat peas, a bit late to come up as winter was cold, but then grew nicely. Disapointed in the lack of fragrance. Not slight, but MIA.

Compared to other Spencers I have growing in same exposure, they have no scent. Rich deep plum color with nice 15-18" stems for cutting, but no scent.

(The rep who stocks local central CA coast stores does not place High Scent on the racks. Maybe a modification to insert a contrasting colored background under the flowers would help). They are lovely in person with that lavender edge and powerfully fragrant.

It seems kind of pointless to ask for a review when I haven't planted anything yet. It's just February here on the Oregon Coast---- and while I could plant now they won't take off till the soil temperature warms up.
