Bells of Ireland Seeds

Moluccella laevis

Not only Irish eyes will smile at this unusual plant. Its bright green bells with their tiny white "clappers" are always a conversation piece. Turns straw-colored when dry—a very valuable, long-lasting dried flower. The strain in this packet was selected for its superior cut and/or dried flower use. Reseeds, often producing new plants the following year from self-sown seeds.

My package arrived and I gave it to my expert gardener wife who seemed very happy and excited.

Sadly, I shoveled 4" of snow off our sidewalks and around our property so... it will be a while before we get moving in the garden.

Still looking forward to a great planting and flower blooming season. I thank you for the seed packs. In my opinion, it's money well spent.

My wife even liked the box the seed packs were delivered in. It's a very nice touch and we are 100% satisfied.

My favorite purchase from this site! I tried winter sowing and direct sowing with no results, but the ones I started in biodegradable pots in early April did germinate. I only ended up with one out of four to survive out in the garden but we have a lot of wildlife disturbing the garden and I'm not sure I planted them in the best spot. I was unsure what to expect from these I thought I'd get one spike of green bells but there are so many coming from this one plant. I can't wait to do a better job of raising these amazing plants next year. Gorgeous and vibrant apple green color.
