Ok y'all, these toms are gasolina. So tasty. Sweet, savory, juicy, unreal. I started them from seed on 3/10, babied them and up-potted multiple times before transplanting into raised beds at the end of April. I thought they'd never mature because they were taking forever. Here we are now mid-July in North TX and they've gone crazy.
I made a Tomato/Basil/Burrata salad with EVOO and Balsamic and a lil salt but TBH they needed very little seasoning because they are so flavorful. Next up is a fat BLT with pepper bacon, I can't wait. I will prob start earlier next year because I think the heat here is about to slow them down. Harvest them when the shoulders are still a bit greenish and let them finish on the counter. It may not look like they're ready but once you slice em they are gorgeous. Also I highly recommend raised beds: I planted the same starts using the same soil mix in raised beds and large grow bags and the raised beds far outperformed the bags.
Not many seeds in the pack but high germination if you can get the first 45 days right. The cost of the packet + my time and energy is still way worth it over buying heirlooms from the store, never again. DELICIOUS!

And we totally get the waiting game with these beauties - they definitely take their time but wow do they deliver once they hit their stride in mid-July! Your tip about harvesting when the shoulders are still a bit greenish is spot on, and that tomato/basil/burrata salad sounds absolutely incredible (but we're honestly even more excited for you about that fat BLT with pepper bacon)! It's so cool that you discovered the raised bed advantage too - that's such valuable info for other growers! These are terrific! Vigorous growth and loads of fruit, with excellent flavor. I'd say straight-up Cherokee Purples have ever so slightly better flavor (still my fav).
That said, straight-up heirlooms never produce like this hybrid variety. I'd plant again and again.

All the tomato seeds germinated and the plants are about 3' high with plenty of fruit sets. I am trimming them to 3 or 4 tomatoes per flower cluster. The plants are healthier than last year's crop. I live on an Island in San Francisco Bay and we had a lot of fog last year and the mold infected all of my 100+ plants. This year everything looks very healthy. Thank you for the seeds.

I grew this variety for the first time in 2025. I got such a stunning harvest that could produce well into November until it started pouring rain. I had so many tomatoes. I was literally trying to give them away to anyone. Strong seedlings when germinated indoors this year as well. But the fruit was other level incredible. Can’t wait for the bountiful harvest this year!
