Enhance your garden's nitrogen levels with our new, eco-friendly seed shakers! Enjoy the same, high-quality seed mixes that you trust, now in an eco-friendly and 100% recyclable tube with a larger quantity of seeds.

While the names are similar, crimson clover is different than red clover. This annual clover has larger, elongated flower heads with deep red, long-lasting blossoms that invite beneficial insects, such as ladybugs and bees. Like other clovers, crimson clover fixes nitrogen, but it's faster growing for quick benefits to your garden. Crimson clover grows best in cool weather, so grow it as a spring or fall cover crop. For maximum nitrogen, till, mow, or cut back with a weed trimmer at end of bloom and before seeds form. Grows in a variety of soils but does best if soil is well drained. Plants tolerate some shade so you can sow crimson clover in between rows or under tall plants, such as with corn or under fruit trees. A beautiful addition to fill spots in flower beds and borders. Flowers can be harvested and dried to make a delicious tea with a light, refreshing flavor.

Our Crimson Clover seed shaker covers approximately 1,130 square feet.

Our Seed Shakers come without a shaker top by design - ensuring smooth, hassle-free seed scattering with no clumping or blockages!

    Lovely Spring Color

My second year adding these to yard, last year the bright red appeared filling in blank spots.

Animation on this page for the container is so annoying, that's why I a posting this, why can't it show better view of what the seeds will do. Container is a complete joke so ironic they animate it here, beware this and other varieites are not "shaker" but bulk size seed cylinder with hard to take off top- there is no shaker filter so it's so easy to drop the entire contents so de-cant and recycle what they sent, it's useless!

    Hey Elisa,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed 3-star review and for being a returning customer! It's fantastic to hear that you had such great success with the crimson clover last year - those bright red blooms filling in blank spots must have looked absolutely stunning in your yard. We're thrilled that you're back for year two!

We really appreciate your honest feedback about both the website animation and the container design. Your point about wanting to see a better view of what the seeds will actually do in the garden is spot-on - that's the kind of information that really helps gardeners make informed decisions.

Your feedback about the container functionality is incredibly valuable. We understand how frustrating it must be when the "shaker" design doesn't work as expected, especially when you're trying to get even coverage across your yard. The lack of a proper shaker filter and the difficulty removing the top definitely defeats the purpose of what should be a convenient seeding method. Your tip about decanting into a different container is actually really helpful for other gardeners who might run into the same issue.

It sounds like despite the packaging challenges, you're getting beautiful results with the clover itself, which is what really matters in the end! We hope this year's planting gives you even more of those gorgeous red blooms.

    Keep on growing 🌻️
