    Larkspurs in Dallas

I planted these in my raised bed garden in October here in Dallas, TX and they made it in spite of drastic weather changes from ice to dry warm weather. Very happy with the bright and beautiful pink, purple and white blooms!

    wonderful

In spite of ice and snow they continue to grow. North Carolina doesn't usually get snow but it happened. I planted the seeds the Fall for an early Spring showing nd we were surprised by the weather! However these

plants have hung in there. I am sure they will surprise me with color in the Spring!

Unfortunately larkspur was not a success for me this year. No fault of the seeds, they germinated beautifully, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I wasn’t able to have access to my cutting garden until mid May, and by then the transplants didn’t stand a chance, even though they were in peat pots so their roots would not be disturbed. I will buy them again and sow them this fall, so I can enjoy them next spring.
