Ghost Bhut Jolokia Chile Pepper Seeds

Capsicum chinense

Originating in India, the 'Bhut Jolokia' is one of the hottest, naturally-occurring peppers, rated over 1,000,000 Scoville heat units. That's up to 400 times hotter than a jalapeño. Dehydrate and grind the peppers into chili flakes to add a fruity, fiery kick to your plate. Use it to spice up salsa, hot sauce, or Indian cuisine if you are brave of heart and palate!

    Not happy with these

Planted these and only about half germinated. Most of those died before putting out leaves. I have one

plant left and it’s not healthy looking

    Excellent Hot Peppers

This was my first time growing a hot pepper and I was so thrilled with the results! These had good germination (even without a heating mat) and were easy to care for as seedlings. I started later in the season and had these in a spot with less than optimal light but still got more peppers than I knew what to do with by the end of the summer.

I grew them in a 7 gallon grow bag and brought them in at the end of the season under my grow lights to get a couple final peppers to finish ripening. These guys are HOT HOT HOT so to process them I chop them up and soak them in alcohol for 24 hours before cooking them down with fruit and sugar to make a hot pepper jam. I dried the rest of them and hung them in my kitchen. You can't beat the ghost pepper flavor and shocking red color!

I was almost discouraged by the other reviews but I'm so glad I got these!

    Germinated in exactly 6 days

I started these early because I thought super hots like these could take a month, but these germinated at lightning speed. Will update review once they're established, but very pleased with results so far.
