Excellent as a cut flower, this very sturdy variety has flowers larger and wider than most foxglove varieties. As a biennial, it produces foliage the first year and flowers the second year' but it also self-sows readily, making it great for "naturalized" areas. Performs best in part shade.Caution: All plant parts are toxic if ingested.

What a joy! This is the first time I've ever grown foxglove from seed. I started them in the greenhouse in the winter of 2023, transplanted them that spring, watched them grow all year and stay evergreen - a big surprise considering our cold and snowy New England climate (zone 6b). This weekend (May 2024) they bloomed for the first time! All 27 plants are flowering in their edge-of-the-woodlands garden spot (dappled sunlight/mostly shade). The tallest ones measure 5' foot 5" inches, the shortest one is 4' feet. This graduated sizing gives so much dimension and interest. The colors range from light pink to dark lavender to white and yellow. The slugs, bunnies and deer do not eat the leaves. Our local native toads take refuge in the bushiness of the plant leaves, and the flowers grow big enough to form a privacy screen at flowering stage. I love these foxglove so much. We are growing a new batch this year and crossing our fingers that everything reseeds itself to create a wild woodland full of foxglove. They will definitely be on our seed starting list every winter. Thanks BI for making our garden feel magical.

I bought a lot of different seeds and only a few actually did anything. I followed the directions. Very disappointing
