    Insane Producers

This was my first year expanding from containers-only to an in-ground garden. I planted these in-ground and could not keep up with the amount of tomatoes they produced! They have an amazing mild flavor and don't split like red cherry tomatoes. Definitely will be ordering again for 2026!

    Excellent Production

Excellent germination and production. This was my first time growing this tomato, and I didn't have high expectations. Tomatoes have a good sweet /tomato flavor, excellent for salads or a quick garden snack. Will continue to grow.

    Disappointed

I really wanted to like these. My seeds did great, potted up well, but I got maybe 5 or 6 tomatoes from the three plants I grew. I grew them in big pots next to my raised bed tomato plants. The raised bed ones had a great yield, these did not. I won't grow these again.

    Hey Holly,

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear your patio bush tomatoes didn’t produce as expected. Tomato plants need sufficient nutrients—especially phosphorus and potassium—to flower and set fruit. It’s possible that the soil didn’t have enough of these nutrients as it was a smaller container than the raised bed, and a balanced tomato fertilizer could help encourage healthy flowering and fruiting. We know it’s frustrating when plants don’t perform as hoped, and we appreciate you giving our tomatoes a try. Keep on growing 🌻️

    Indeterminate? Delicious, regardless!

Last year I grew these in a container and they grew as expected, with a delicious harvest. I grew them again this year, but in raised beds. What a surprise to see how they exploded upwards! The vines on each of my three plants are easily 5-6 feet in length now in mid-Sept with good vertical trellising. I transplanted them out in early April in my zone 7a garden, and they took closer to 90 days to mature. They are performing like an indeterminate this year, with ongoing production even now, despite disease and pest pressure. I half-wondered if the seeds were mislabeled. Whatever this is, I want it again next year! It's my favorite tomato in the garden. Some of our favorite ways to enjoy it are: on salads, in pesto pasta, cooked with feta/quinoa/zucchini/herbs, in pad kee mao, tossed with onions/herbs/lime for a quick chunky salsa on nachos. Also great as a garden snack!

    Hey Annie,

Wow, what a fantastic and detailed review! You've really highlighted something special about these Patio Choice Yellow Bush Cherry Tomatoes!

It's so interesting that you noticed the difference in growth habit between container and raised bed growing - that's exactly the kind of real-world growing insight that helps other gardeners know what to expect! Those 5-6 foot vines in your raised beds sound absolutely incredible, and the fact that they're still producing strong in mid-September despite disease and pest pressure really speaks to their resilience.

We absolutely love all the creative ways you're enjoying your harvest! From pesto pasta to pad kee mao to that quick chunky salsa - you're really making the most of those delicious little tomatoes. And honestly, there's nothing better than a great garden snacking tomato!

Thank you so much for sharing such a thorough and helpful review. Your experience with different growing conditions and all those recipe ideas will be invaluable for fellow gardeners looking to get the most out of these amazing little plants!

    Excellent little tomatoes

BI needs a better measuring tape! These grew way higher than 18", more like 3 1/2 - 4 feet!!!! And they won't quit producing. They're super-sweet, and our local groundhog loves them. At least he can't reach the higher ones! The only downside is that if we experience a sudden downpour, the fruit splits almost instantly, despite my efforts to keep them properly watered.

    Hey Wendy,

It's incredible to hear how tall your Patio Choice Yellow Bush Cherry Tomato plants grew! Sounds like these little powerhouses had bigger plans than we advertised! 3 1/2 to 4 feet of continuous production is incredible, even if it wasn't quite what you were expecting size-wise.

We're bummed to hear how a sudden downpour splits the fruit. If you find a good way to keep your tomatoes safe from that we'd love for you to share that so others may learn. At least with how prolific these plants are, you've got plenty more coming!
