I am so sorry your Plains Coreopsis seeds had such poor germination and the seedlings that did come up are struggling! Since only a few sprouted and they're remaining weak and small, this could be due to several factors. Coreopsis seeds need light to germinate properly, so they should only be lightly covered with soil. The weak, small seedlings might indicate they need more sunlight, better drainage, or the soil conditions weren't quite right when they were trying to establish. Plains Coreopsis are usually quite hardy once they get going, so we definitely want to help you succeed with these beautiful wildflowers! It was my first time growing these last season. Started indoor 4wks blf. Hardened and transplanted out 2wks after frost date. Bloomed June 4th in my zone 6 upstate NY garden and continued all season long. Pollinators LOVED them. Looking forward to growing & enjoying these again this year!
