In USDA zone 5 or warmer, carrots can be left in the ground for storage provided they are heavily mulched; harvest as needed on days the ground is not frozen. |

These Shin Kuroda carrots are awesome! They germinated quickly and even with my inconsistent watering schedule and Florida’s wacky weather this year these grew beautifully. In winter most of my garden bed is in shade so it was slow at the start but once they got more sunlight they quickly grew in size.
I even got two random carrots in the sand landscape bed on the side of the house!
