Thumbelina Zinnia Seeds

Zinnia elegans

Thumbelina is destined to be the darling of your garden! A 1963 All-America Selections winner, this charming variety may be shorter, but still produces an abundance of cheerful blossoms in a wide range of colors. Zinnias are edible, but have little flavor. The colorful flowers can make a pretty garnish to salads, desserts, cold drinks, or serving trays. (The flower's central disk, while edible, can be bitter.) Zinnias thrive in heat, bloom all season, and are very easy to grow. Each individual flower lasts a very long time on the plant or in a vase.

    Thumbelina Zinnia seeds

I love zinnias! This variety has smaller flowers, and is easy to grow in a container. They are very cheerful!

I am overall very happy with my seeds from Botanical Interest, and highly recommend buying seeds from this company.

    They're just SO EASY!

I've never had any luck growing flowers from seed, but I wanted to try these because they're so cute and im trying to be better about including flowers in my garden.

Y'all, these guys are tough as hell! They do not quit and seem to view heat as a bonus, not a negative. And the bees and butterflies LOVE them!

    Hey Heather,

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with our Thumbelina Zinnia Seeds! We absolutely love hearing from gardeners who discover just how incredibly resilient and rewarding zinnias can be - especially when you're branching out into flower growing for the first time!

It sounds like you picked the perfect variety to start with! Thumbelinas really are tough little champions that just keep blooming no matter what the weather throws at them. And you're so right about them loving the heat - while other flowers might struggle, these guys just see it as fuel to keep producing those adorable compact blooms.

We love that you're discovering how amazing flowers can be for attracting pollinators too! There's something so special about watching your garden come alive with bees and butterflies, and zinnias are absolute magnets for them. It sounds like you've created a perfect little pollinator paradise while adding those cute pops of color to your garden!

    Keep on growing 🌻️
