Not the prettiest girl in the garden but the pollinators adore her

These get tall and very bushy. At first I was like I'm never going east again but after seeing some of the pollinators enjoy them. I think I have to make a special patch in my garden just for them. The orange on them is pretty stunning but they do take up a lot of room.

    Beautiful!

These start out slow-zone 6b- then boom! They explode in growth and blooms. Most are around 4 feet tall. The one pictured is an over achiever, 7+ feet tall!

    Wonderful!

I started some of these seeds indoors in January and planted them out in April. They plants are not over five feet tall and attract tons of bumble bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. I direct sowed the rest of the seeds and they did great too. I like starting them inside because they bloom quicker. Can't recommend these enough!

    Hummingbird Magnet

These are beautiful, huge orange bush sunflowers, and the hummingbirds love them! I have them planted on a slope that gets full, hot sun and has rather sandy soil (high desert zone 6b/7a) and they are thriving. We did get some freak July hail and thunderstorms, which is unusual for us, and I lost one plant and several large stems from others, so if you live in an area that gets summer storms, I would stake them. I will be planting even more next year.
