Seeds barely sprouted only a total of 6 from the package. The 6 have remained very small.

I am so sorry your Xanthos Cosmos seeds had such poor germination! Since only 6 sprouted from the package and they've remained small, this sounds like there could be several factors at play. Cosmos seeds are usually reliable germinators, so this could be due to planting depth (they need light to germinate, so just barely cover them), soil temperature, or watering conditions. The small size of your seedlings might indicate they need more light or nutrients to get established. My first set of 5 seeds under grow lights only yielded 1 successful germination. I tried again and adjusted my heating mat a bit lower (From 75F to 70-72 F) and they performed much better. I got 100% germination the second time around and we shall see how the seedlings develop.
