Cauliflower
Cauliflower's name comes from the Latin word caulis which means "flower", as the harvested head is made up of tightly-packed flower buds that rise from the center of a leaf rosette, almost like a bouquet of crisp, delicious, low-calorie goodness. Cauliflower, a frost-tolerant crop, grows best in the cool weather of spring and fall (fall and winter in mild climates).
