Squash Winter
On the coldest day of the winter, you can reach into your storage cellar and retrieve a heft winter squash, fresh as the day it was harvested. Their long storage time means you can grow dozens in the summer an enjoy butternut squash soup, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and spaghetti squash "pasta" long into the winter. Most winter squash varieties enjoy rambling around the garden, needing plenty of space. But don't let that deter you! We have several varieties that can be grown in containers, on trellises, and small spaces, too! Choose from short (up to 6'), medium (7'–10'), or long (some as long as 20') vine lengths.
