Luminous, upward-facing chalices glow in the spring garden. Tough and easy, California Bluebells, also called desert bluebells, laugh off the most inhospitable conditions like cold weather and drought. For the greatest impact, sow this heirloom in large numbers. Grow in spaces between paving stones, in rock gardens, and in the front of flower beds. Sow narrow strips of bluebells and violas between vegetable rows! These beautiful, little flowers will charm you, and are loved by native bees.

Grew these for the first time this year. Beautiful when mass planted together! Especially next to Calendulas. The seeds germinated really quickly and were easy to grow. Here in the PNW (Zone 7b), they held up great in the spring and summer, very hardy & drought tolerant but they ended fast in the rainy autumn weather. I noticed that the slugs never ate them, even as seedlings.

I was extremely disappointed in the amount of seeds which were so few…. Yes, I know the weight is on the package but I don’t know how much a seed weighs. (With the exception of the larger mix packets and they seem to have a lot of the same seed.)

Your packaging is awesome, however. But I can’t spend money just because the package is pretty.

    Thank you.
